Book and Thread Giveaway!

I've been extremely remiss when it comes to blogging. What's gotten me to publish a post today? Well, it's the Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day!  I've been planning on doing a giveaway and decided today's the day.

Last year when Brett Bara released her book Sewing in a Straight Line, I entered a few giveaways trying to win a copy of it.  Luck being on my side, I won two giveaways and with each I received a book and a set of Coats & Clark thread.  It's time to pay it forward. Today I'm giving away one copy of her book and one 18 spool set of Coats & Clark Dual Duty XP polyester thread!

Bonus! The book is autographed by Brett!

If you can sew a straight line, then you can make everything in this book! Stuff to wear, for your home and to give as gifts. Like these cute pillow cases.

In all there's 26 quick and easy projects.  Plus, some thread you can use to make them.

How do you enter? It's simple. I majorly dislike giveaways that make you jump through hoops to enter or have a never ending list of ways to get extra entries. All you have to do to enter is leave one comment below. Just one, please. That's all you need. If you're meant to win, you will win with one entry. In your comment you can thank me for this giveaway. Tell me what is keeping you busy these days. What book you're reading. The movie you're looking forward to seeing. Whatever is on your mind.

One very important thing. The profile you link your comment to needs to provide a way for me to contact you or leave your email address in some fashion in your comment. Also, international entries are welcome.

Entries will be accepted through Friday, May 25th at some point late in the evening CST.  If you can still leave a comment, then entries are still open.  Saturday I will randomly select a winner and contact them, as well as add it to this post. I'll tweet it, too.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Good luck and thanks for entering!

Update 05/25/2012: Entries are now closed. The winner will be selected and announced Saturday (May 26th).

Update 05/28/2012: The giveaway winner has been announced here.

He has a follow up phone interview for a job in another state that keeps getting pushed out, so I don't know if I should stop starting new projects because we are moving or not. Also worrying..what if we move someplace where i don't have my own sewing room?!?! So I'm very glad to be distracting myself with entering giveaways this week ;)

  131. Hi! Currently I haven't much time for sewing because my cat is poorly and has just become a house cat because of it. This means that all my free time is spent turning half the garden into a cat run so he doesn't feel too cooped up. I have managed to find some time to sew a few catnippy toys for him but I have a few projects queued in my mind for when my free time is my own again! :)

Thanks for the great giveaway - I could certainly use a book of quick and easy projects that I could fit in between installing fences and cat-netting!

  155. You must have good karma, to have won two copies of this book. I would be thrilled to win just one. What's on my mind? Well, I just watched the season finale of Glee. I wonder what direction the show will take now that Rachel is moving to NYC. Thank you for the giveaway!

  156. Thank you so much for the chance to win the giveaway. I am keeping busy nowadays trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up (career change?) as I try to clear out alot of clutter that I'm finding very hard to part with. When that doesn't work, I keep busy exploring new coffee places with friends and crafting with them.
